Recommended for ages 1 - 5 years. Oceans of Possibilities Storytime Tuesdays, June 7 - July 19 10 AM Dive into the great blue! This summer is filled with oceans of possibilities, and our storytimes are no exception! Dance, play, create, read, sing, and learn with your favorite ocean animals! Recommended for ages 1 - 5. Paws & Pages Tuesdays 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Third Saturdays 10 AM - 12 PM Fiona the Golden Doodle, the library’s reading dog, visits Tuesdays after storytime and third Saturdays for kids to practice their reading and petting skills. Recommended for toddlers through school-age children. Learn Through Play Wednesdays, June 8 - July 20 10 AM Come & play with us! We fill our storytime roomwith fun, educational toys for children across developmental stages! Spend an hour learning through play and then top it all off with music and books! This is a storytime unlike any other! Recommended for Ages 1 - Pre K. Wacky ScienceWednesday Wednesdays, June 8 - July 20 2:30 PM Put on your goggles! The mad scientists are in the house! Join us as we performweird, wild, and wacky science experiments! Recommended for all school-age children. Outdoor Storytime Thursdays, June 9 - July 21 (Weather Permitting) 10 AM Come listen to story time while enjoying the nice weather. Bring a beach towel to find a good spot. Each week, Miss Catherine will rotate between Friendship Park and Main Street Beach. Recommended for toddlers through school-age children. Find It Friday Fridays, June 10 - July 22 All Day Become a super sleuth! Young detectives are invited to find a special clue within the library, and all successful private eyes win a prize! Lego Club Second Saturdays 10 AM - 12 PM Come build a Lego masterpiece, then have your creation displayed at the library for all to see! Recommended for all ages. Pokémon League Third Saturdays 10 AM - 12 PM Bring your cards and handheld games to battle and trade with fellow Pokémon masters. Recommended for Ages 8 - 12. Stuffed Animal Sleepover Thursday, July 14 All Day Drop off your favorite stuffed animal companion for an evening of human-free shenanigans. Pick your friend up the next day to find out what they got up to! Tween & Teen Teen Board Game Night Tuesday, June 21 6 PM Come in and play your favorite board game and get a chance to meet some new friends. Battle of the Books Club Wednesday, June 22 5 PM Are you a competetive reader? Then join us for Battle of the Books 2022! Grades 4-8 will be representing RPL in the Battle this coming September. Practices will include book discussion, team building, and lots of fun! Copies of the books can be found on the holds shelf. Tie Dying with Teens* Monday, July 11 3 PM Bring your favorite t-shirt to design your own tie dye! Supplies provided. Recommended for ages 12 - 17. Family Candyland Day* Friday, June 24 10 AM, 11 AM, 2 PM, 3 PM You are the game piece in this life-sized rendition of the classic Candyland!
